We believe that older people and their families can meet the challenges the “golden years” bring. We are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of each individual. From the initial contact with the older person and their family members, we support their right to make their own decisions while at the same time keeping in mind the need for safety and well being. Our focus is to work together with families and their loved ones to formulate a plan of care, which enhances quality of life and offers long-distance caregivers peace of mind.
How Can Elder Options Help You?

There comes a time when we all find ourselves, or our loved ones, facing changes in physical functioning, mental capabilities, life interests, finances and social supports. These changes by their nature affect our sense of well being and can leave us feeling insecure and out of control.
We use our professional skills and knowledge of aging issues to provide services in the following areas:
- We conduct comprehensive assessments, which include an objective evaluation of functional status, psychological issues, medical needs, social supports, cognitive functioning and available resources.
- We work with you to develop an individualized plan of care based on the unique needs and situation of each client.
- Based on our assessment and our knowledge of resources, we help to co-ordinate and monitor in-home help or other services.
- We assist you with the process of decision-making regarding financial, legal or medical issues.
- We provide crisis intervention.
- We act as a liaison between you and your loved one and the professionals involved in their care. We provide ongoing support as you face new challenges as needs change.
- When it is deemed necessary, we work with you to identify and help with the transition to alternative living environments.
- We are here to advocate on our clients’ behalf in order to access resources, enhance quality of medical care and ensure that living environments are safe. We advocate on behalf of our clients with doctors, community resources and whenever their needs are not being met in appropriate supportive manner.
